Polaris Bank has been honoured with the Private Sector Champion Award at the 2026 Jobberman Partners’ Convening in recognition of its contributions to youth employment, talent development, and workforce empowerment across Nigeria.

The award was presented during the event held at Eko Hotel & Suites, where stakeholders from the private sector, development organisations, and industry groups gathered to discuss practical solutions to youth unemployment and the future of work in Nigeria.

Organised by Jobberman, the annual convening recognises organisations demonstrating strong commitment to advancing youth employability through impactful recruitment programmes, executive hiring support, candidate assessment initiatives, and sustainable career opportunities for young Nigerians.

Polaris Bank received the recognition for its continued investment in workforce inclusion, learning, and career development through initiatives such as the Polaris Graduate Intensive Training (PGIT) programme and Polaris Tech Ignite Training (TechIGNITE).

Speaking on the recognition, Head of Talent Management at Polaris Bank, Cynthia Sanyaolu, said the bank remains committed to empowering Nigerian youths and strengthening the nation’s workforce through people-focused initiatives.

“This recognition reflects Polaris Bank’s unwavering belief in the potential of Nigerian youths and our commitment to building platforms that enable them thrive professionally and economically,” she stated.

“At Polaris Bank, we see talent development and youth empowerment as critical drivers of national growth and sustainable development,” Sanyaolu added.

The 2026 convening, themed “From Impact to Action: Collectively Designing the Future of Youth Employment in Nigeria,” focused on fostering stronger collaboration between the private sector and other stakeholders to improve access to meaningful employment opportunities and equip young Nigerians with relevant skills for an evolving economy.

Jobberman commended Polaris Bank for consistently delivering measurable impact within Nigeria’s employment ecosystem and described the financial institution as a purpose-driven organisation committed to advancing youth employability and supporting the future of work in the country.

Over the years, Polaris Bank has expanded its focus on strategic recruitment, talent development, and digital capacity-building programmes aimed at preparing young professionals for opportunities within Nigeria’s financial and technology sectors.
