He is an Ikale Star Boy with many interesting and mind blowing parts; down to earth lover of people, local boy with distinctions, business tycoon with midas touch, leader, astute grassroots politician, community and youth mobiliser, mentor and influencer per excellence, uncommon philanthropist, joy giver, lovely husband and ever caring father; PRINCE OKUNJIMI JOHN ODIMAYO is gifted with lot of good qualities too numerous to mention.
His philosophy for doing good all the time is that, for God in His infinite mercy to continue to bless him abundantly, even at his youthful age despite a very rough, tough and not so pleasant but humble beginning, he owes humanity the duty to right all wrong. What an uncommon man with an heart of gold.
Today is not meant for long words for this Ode-Irele born youngman who has and is continuing to mentor many youths and young men who desire to be great in future.
I just want to salute his courage towards life; his determination to give back to his immediate community, Ode-Irele in particular and Ondo State in general; his inner strength to make an indelible marks on the surface of the earth; his bold and shining foot prints on the rock of humanity; his warm, amiable and extremely pleasant characters and a delightful personality that is hard to come by.
I salute Omo'ba Okunjimi John Odimayo, the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Arowolo Group. Jimi, as he is fondly called, has within the last decade, built a vast business empire that spans across oil and gas, agriculture, construction, export, import, and hospitality sectors, while playing a big role in the politics of his environment as well as contributing immensely in the development of the people, especially the youths.
Born into the royal family of Oba Feyisara Odimayo of Ode-Irele in Irele local government area of Ondo State exactly forty years ago on August 26, 1980; our Star Boy is a graduate of Accountancy from the famous Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, and went ahead to pass professional examinations as a chartered accountant from the prestigious Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
A turnaround expert, Odimayo started his professional career with Acorn Petroleum Plc, where he proved his proficiency in financial administration and crisis management, even as an NYSC member. After Acorn, Jimi has functioned in various capacities in the Upstream, Midstream and Downstream subsector of the Oil & Gas industry, working with some oil companies including Somerset Energy, Bellpoint Energy and Addax & Oryx Group, where he later served as a liaison between the company and the Nigerian Government and regulatory authorities. He is the chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Arowolo Group of Companies.
Let me once again proudly salute a grassroots and worthy politician who I pray to reach more higher opportunities to serve and benefit his people and man kind more strongly in no long a time.
I salute a super mentor, a goal getter, a peers group developer, a motivational and inspirational driving force, a fighter for the common man, a bridge builder, a community leader and a committed politician.
I salute a dependable young man, friendly friend, loyal follower and worshiper of our Lord Jesus Christ, crowd mobilizer, professional accounting officer, lover of good things, kind hearted gentleman, honest businessman, obedient son of God, best of daddy ever and sweetest of heart as husband.
I salute the Star Boy of our generation as he turns forty years of age today; I salute his natural qualities and prodigious achievements in his four decades on planet earth.
The good things that is going for Odimayo is that he grows and matures with all the virtues I knew him with since my first encounter with him. In all, the Almighty God has continued to increase him in wisdom, intelligence, knowledge, understanding and high capacity to excel in all his life engagements.
His sense of humor is second to none, and he is as free as air. Happy maturity age of 40, my boss, my chairman, my leader, my friend. Keep bouncing on doing well and good till you hit centurion. I pray you have a friend and boss like my PRINCE JIMI ODIMAYO, the Oluomo of Ode-Irele.
