Renowned technology security expert, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and community development advocate, Chief Richard Adegboyega Abiodun, is set for a double celebration on Saturday, June 27, 2026, as he marks his 50th birthday and his ceremonial installation as the Amona of Ojoduland, Lagos.
The event follows his recent conferment of the revered traditional title by Oba Samuel Shobowale-Benson, the Olojodu of Ojoduland, who found him worthy of joining the kingdom's Council of Chiefs in recognition of his contributions to community development, philanthropy, youth empowerment, and professional excellence.
The installation ceremony will take place at Afin Kabiyesi of Ojodu, 11B Adigboluja Street, Ojodu-Abiodun, Lagos, where Chief Abiodun will formally receive the title of Olóyè Amona of Ojoduland. The ceremony will be presided over by the Olojodu of Ojoduland and attended by traditional rulers, community leaders, family members, associates, and well-wishers.
Following the installation, guests will proceed to a grand reception and thanksgiving event scheduled for 12 noon at Business Club Ikeja Events Centre, Hakeem Balogun Street, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.
A respected figure in Nigeria's technology and security industry, Chief Abiodun is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Beta Bridges Limited and Beta Bridges Training Institute. Through these platforms, he has built a reputation for innovation, training, and excellence in electronic security solutions, tracking technologies, and business development.
Before establishing Beta Bridges in 2013, he held strategic marketing and communications positions across several leading organisations, contributing to projects involving major brands including MTN Nigeria, Wema Bank, Globacom, Conoil Plc, Pfizer, The Coca-Cola Company, United Bank for Africa (UBA), Maersk, and Procter & Gamble. He later served as Head of Business Development and Marketing at Halogen Security Company before venturing into entrepreneurship.
Beyond business, Chief Abiodun has distinguished himself through humanitarian interventions executed through the ARA Foundation. As part of activities marking his golden jubilee, he recently donated hospital equipment and furnishings to the Primary Health Centre in Ojodu, while also extending support to vulnerable children at the Fowowe Memorial Orphanage Home in Ogba through donations of food items, medical supplies, toiletries, and other essentials.
Earlier this month, he sponsored a cancer awareness campaign and outreach programme in Ikorodu in memory of his late mother, demonstrating his continued commitment to healthcare advocacy and community service.
His wife, Chief (Mrs.) Bolajoko Abiodun, who will be installed as the Yeye Amona of Ojoduland, will join him in becoming part of the Ojoduland Council of Chiefs, further strengthening their shared commitment to the development of the community.
Observers describe Chief Abiodun's elevation as a recognition of a lifetime dedicated to leadership, integrity, philanthropy, professional excellence, and service to humanity.
As family, friends, traditional institutions, business associates, and community members gather to celebrate this landmark occasion, the installation and 50th birthday celebration are expected to serve as a fitting tribute to a man whose impact continues to resonate across corporate, social, and community spheres.
For Chief Richard Adegboyega Abiodun, the celebration is not merely about age or title—it is a reflection of five decades of purpose, service, and a continuing commitment to building stronger communities and empowering future generations.
