The Zion Prayer Movement Outreach is set to hold its 2026 World Conference at Zion City, the permanent site of the ministry in Mgbichi, Ngor Okpala, Imo State, as thousands of worshippers prepare to gather for the annual spiritual programme.
The three-day conference is scheduled to begin on Friday, August 21, and end on Sunday, August 23, 2026, according to a statement released by the ministry in Lagos.
The annual gathering is the largest programme organised by the Zion Prayer Movement Outreach and attracts worshippers and participants from Nigeria and different parts of the world.
This year's edition is expected to draw participants from across Africa, Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East.
World Conference to mark end of 100-day fasting and prayer
The 2026 World Conference will also mark the conclusion of the ministry's 100 Days Fasting and Prayer programme, which began in May.
The annual fasting and prayer programme is one of the ministry's major spiritual activities, bringing members together for an extended period of prayer, fasting, worship, biblical reflection, thanksgiving and fellowship.
The programme culminates in the World Conference, which brings together worshippers, pilgrims, clergy, volunteers and media representatives.
According to the ministry, hundreds of thousands of Zionites from different parts of the world are expected to participate in this year's conference.
Third World Conference outside Lagos
The 2026 gathering will be the third time the Zion Prayer Movement's annual World Conference has been held outside Lagos.
The decision to hold the programme at Zion City in Imo State is expected to provide a larger setting for worshippers travelling from different parts of Nigeria and abroad.
The permanent site at Mgbichi, Ngor Okpala, will serve as the main venue for the three-day programme.
Evangelist Chukwuebuka Obi speaks on expectations
The Spiritual Director of Zion Prayer Movement Outreach, Evangelist Chukwuebuka Anozie Obi, said the conference is expected to record significant spiritual activities.
He said the ministry expects the programme to feature salvation, healing, deliverance, miracles and testimonies from participants.
According to Obi, the conference is expected to provide an opportunity for worshippers to strengthen their faith and participate in the closing activities of the 100-day fasting and prayer programme.
The ministry also expects worshippers from different parts of the world to converge on Imo State for the event.
A major annual gathering for Zionites
Over the years, the Zion World Conference has become one of the major annual gatherings associated with the ministry, bringing together members and visitors for worship, prayer and fellowship.
With this year's conference scheduled to run from August 21 to August 23, attention will now turn to Zion City, Mgbichi, as participants prepare for the three-day programme.
The 2026 World Conference is expected to conclude the ministry's 100-day spiritual exercise while providing a platform for worshippers to come together in prayer, thanksgiving and fellowship.
