Among the Nigerians honoured on the night was Oluwatobi Sunday Aruleba, a renowned photojournalist and creative professional, who emerged as Best Photographer of the Year for his remarkable contributions to visual storytelling and documentary photography.
Oluwatobi Sunday Aruleba is the founder and creative director of Reddove Imagery, a brand known for its strong storytelling approach to photography. His work cuts across photojournalism, creative documentation, lifestyle imagery and event coverage, combining artistic depth with journalistic clarity.
Widely admired for his ability to capture authentic human emotions and narratives, Oluwatobi has steadily built a professional reputation anchored on creativity, consistency and technical excellence.
A Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE) graduate and Ikere Ekiti indigene, Oluwatobi Sunday Aruleba’s creative journey dates back to his student years, when his passion for photography and visual storytelling began to gain prominence. While serving as the General Secretary of the National Association of Ikere Students (NAIS) a general body guiding all Ikere students home and abroad, his dedication to creativity and media expression earned him an honour from the association—a recognition that marked a defining milestone in his early career.
That honour from NAIS is widely regarded as the foundation that encouraged his transition from campus-based creativity to national professional relevance.
In addition to the Celebrity Crush Award, Oluwatobi Sunday Aruleba has also received wider industry acknowledgment. His work was nominated for the prestigious Nestlé Media Awards, further affirming his growing influence and acceptance within Nigeria’s media and creative ecosystem.
