For Hon. Princess (Chief) Mrs. Banke Sutton, November 7 isn’t just another date on the calendar — it’s a time to pause, reflect, and give thanks for a life marked by purpose, discipline, and divine grace. As she turns 65, the former Chairman of the Ondo State Micro-Credit Agency (OSMA) remains a symbol of quiet strength, refined elegance, and unwavering faith.
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His Holy name. Thank You Lord. Happiest Birthday to me,” she wrote in a heartfelt social media post — a simple yet profound message that captures her enduring gratitude and deep sense of spirituality.
Born on November 7, 1960, into the noble family of Prince and Mrs. Isaac Adebawo Ogunmayin of Agerige in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, Princess Sutton grew up in a household that valued education, service, and integrity. Her early education at Mount Carmel Convent Primary School, Ebute Metta, and Methodist Girls’ High School, Yaba, laid the foundation for a life of excellence.
Her professional journey began in the financial sector — a field where she distinguished herself early. By 1997, she had qualified as a Chartered Banker (ACIB) and later obtained an MBA in Finance from the University of Leicester, UK. Her expertise and discipline earned her positions in the United Kingdom’s corporate space, including roles at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, London Borough of Southwark, and Pearsons Government Solutions.
When she returned to Nigeria, she brought that wealth of experience home — serving with dedication and empathy. In 2013, she was appointed Chairman of the Ondo State Micro-Credit Agency by former Governor Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, where she championed access to finance for women, artisans, and small business owners across the state. Her leadership was marked by transparency, innovation, and a deep understanding of grassroots economic realities.
Beyond public service, Princess Sutton is the CEO of Sutserve Consult, a procurement and equipment services firm. Yet, those who know her say her real passion lies in mentorship, empowerment, and faith-based community service. She has quietly supported initiatives focused on women’s empowerment, education for the girl child, and youth development, often preferring to make an impact away from the spotlight.
At home, she is a devoted wife and mother, happily married to Mr. Gabriel Adewale Sutton, a partnership described by friends as “anchored on love, faith, and mutual respect.”
Those close to her describe her as calm but firm, graceful but grounded. “She listens deeply, speaks with wisdom, and carries herself with effortless class,” a longtime friend says.
As she marks her 65th birthday, Hon. Princess Banke Sutton stands as proof that true beauty lies not in appearances but in purpose and service. Her story is that of a woman who has walked her path with dignity — a banker, public servant, mentor, and believer whose influence quietly spans communities and generations.
And as she celebrates this new chapter surrounded by family and friends, her words remain her best reflection: “Bless the Lord, O my soul.”
Happy 65th Birthday, Princess Banke Sutton — still graceful, still purposeful, still inspiring.
