MEET KAYODE KIKIOWO (DJ KAYKANG), THE NEW HEAD OF PROGRAMMES AT CREST FM AKURE AS OLUWADAMILOLA TAIWO RESIGNS

Cresthills Media Concepts Ltd, the parent company of Crest 106.1 FM, Akure, has appointed Kayode Kikiowo, popularly known as DJ Kaykang, as the new Head of Programmes (HOP). His appointment follows the resignation of Miss Oluwadamilola Taiwo, who stepped down to pursue further studies.


In an official statement, the Chief Operating Officer of Cresthills Media Concepts Ltd, Mr. Adeolu Gboyega, expressed appreciation for Miss Taiwo’s dedication and immense contributions to the station’s growth, both as a presenter, newscaster, and Head of Programmes. He wished her success in her future endeavors.

Mr. Gboyega also urged the newly appointed HOP and his deputy, Mr. Ife Adedola, to justify the board’s confidence in them and work towards enhancing the station’s programming and audience engagement. Before this appointment, Mr. Kayode Kikiowo served as Deputy Head of Programmes, while Mr. Ife Adedola was the Supervisor of the Production Unit.

BRIEF ABOUT HIM

Kayode Kikiowo is a seasoned broadcaster, entertainment personality, and one of the most recognized DJs in Ondo State. His career spans various media organizations. He began his media journey with FUTA 93.1 FM, Akure (2010-2012), before moving to Orange 94.5 FM, Akure (2012-2019). After working for seven years, he joined the state-owned media outlet, OSRC Television (2018-2019). In 2020, he joined Crest 106.1 FM, where he rose to become the Head of Programmes.

He is a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, where he earned a B.Tech in 2012. He attended Airforce Secondary School, Kaduna, and Airforce Primary School, Kaduna.

With years of experience in radio and television broadcasting, DJ Kaykang is expected to bring fresh energy, creativity, and innovation to Crest FM’s programming.

This leadership transition marks a new chapter for Crest FM, Akure, as the station continues its commitment to delivering top-quality content and maintaining its status as a leading media platform in Ondo State.
