... She succeeds Victoria Uwadoka, who retires after 10 years with the company.
Nestlé Nigeria has appointed Toritseju (Toju) Egbebi as its Corporate Communications and Sustainability Manager, effective November 1, 2026, following the retirement of Victoria Uwadoka after a decade with the company.
Egbebi, who currently serves as Corporate Affairs Manager, brings 18 years of experience in public relations and corporate communications across the technology, financial services and consumer goods sectors.
According to the company, she has played a key role in strengthening its corporate reputation, public affairs and stakeholder engagement since joining Nestlé Nigeria.
Through the company's Nestlé for Good platform, Egbebi has also contributed to increasing awareness of its investments in healthier nutrition, thriving communities and environmental sustainability, while building strategic relationships with the media and other stakeholders.
She takes over from Uwadoka, whose 10-year tenure included advancing the company's communications and sustainability priorities across nutrition, youth empowerment, agriculture, water stewardship, environmental responsibility and community development.
Nestlé Nigeria said Uwadoka also strengthened employee engagement and helped communicate complex corporate and sustainability initiatives in ways that built public understanding and trust.
Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Uwadoka contributed to the development of Nigeria's communications profession through industry leadership, advocacy and mentorship, promoting strategic communications as a driver of business and societal progress.
Commenting on the transition, Nestlé Nigeria's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Wassim Elhusseini, expressed appreciation for Uwadoka's contributions and confidence in her successor.
“Victoria has made an important contribution to Nestlé Nigeria over the past decade, and we are deeply grateful for the leadership, professionalism and commitment she has brought to our business and the communications profession,” he said.
Elhusseini added that he was confident in Egbebi's experience and judgement, noting that effective communication and stakeholder engagement remained fundamental to building trust and advancing the company's purpose.
He expressed confidence that she would continue strengthening stakeholder relationships and communicating the impact of Nestlé's operations in Nigeria.
The appointment marks a leadership transition in the company's corporate communications and sustainability function, with Egbebi expected to build on the work undertaken during Uwadoka's tenure.
