JMG DELIVERS LANDMARK ENGINEERING PROJECTS ACROSS HEALTHCARE, MANUFACTURING AND AVIATION

By Business Desk

JMG Limited, one of Nigeria's leading integrated electromechanical engineering companies, has strengthened its position as a key infrastructure partner with the successful execution of three major engineering projects across the healthcare, manufacturing and aviation sectors during the second quarter of 2026.

The projects, delivered through the company's renewable energy, climate solutions and vertical transportation divisions, underscore the increasing demand for energy-efficient and sustainable engineering solutions as Nigerian businesses seek to reduce operating costs while improving productivity.

The latest milestone also reflects growing investments by organisations in renewable energy, modern infrastructure and operational resilience amid rising energy costs and increasing pressure to adopt environmentally sustainable technologies.

Hospital Cuts Energy Costs with Solar Power

One of JMG's flagship projects during the quarter was the installation of a hybrid solar power system at St. Catherine Specialist Hospital in Wuse 2, Abuja.

The project, executed by JMG Solar, was designed to provide uninterrupted electricity for critical healthcare services while significantly reducing dependence on diesel-powered generators.

According to the company, the hospital has reduced its monthly diesel consumption by 50 per cent—from about 2,000 litres to 1,000 litres—since the system became operational.

The reduction has translated into approximately ₦14 million in diesel savings within four months, while monthly energy costs have declined by an estimated ₦2 million.

Beyond the financial benefits, the solar installation is expected to generate more than 133 megawatt-hours of clean electricity annually and prevent over 53,000 kilograms of carbon emissions each year, contributing to Nigeria's clean energy transition.

Modern Cooling System Boosts Manufacturing Efficiency

JMG also completed a major climate infrastructure upgrade for the corporate headquarters of one of Nigeria's leading snack manufacturers.

Through JMG Clima, the company's authorised Trane distributor in Nigeria, a high-efficiency Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system was deployed following a comprehensive assessment of the facility's operational requirements.

The upgraded cooling solution is expected to improve indoor air quality, increase energy efficiency, enhance operational reliability and reduce long-term maintenance costs, supporting the manufacturer's productivity and sustainability objectives.

Airport Infrastructure Enhanced

In the aviation sector, JMG Elevator completed the installation and maintenance support of 16 TK Elevator units at Victor Attah International Airport in Akwa Ibom State.

The project comprises 12 elevators and four escalators, improving passenger movement, accessibility and operational efficiency throughout the airport terminal.

Following the successful completion of the installation, the airport approved the deployment of an additional three units, bringing the total number of TK Elevator systems installed at the airport to 19.

The development further strengthens JMG's growing presence in Nigeria's aviation infrastructure sector.

Engineering Solutions Driving Business Growth

Commenting on the projects, JMG Chief Commercial Officer, Rabi Jammal, said the company remains focused on providing innovative engineering solutions that address the changing needs of businesses across critical sectors of the economy.

"Across every sector, businesses are looking for solutions that improve reliability while reducing operating costs. Our focus is to combine engineering expertise with innovative technologies that help our customers operate more efficiently today while preparing for the future."

He noted that organisations are increasingly prioritising infrastructure investments that deliver measurable cost savings while supporting long-term sustainability goals.

Strengthening Nigeria's Infrastructure

With decades of experience in Nigeria's engineering sector, JMG continues to provide integrated solutions across renewable energy, power generation, electrical infrastructure, climate control, elevators and escalators, compressed air systems and industrial technologies.

Industry observers say the company's latest projects reflect broader market trends, as businesses increasingly adopt renewable energy technologies and modern engineering systems to improve operational efficiency amid rising energy costs.

As investments in healthcare, manufacturing and transportation infrastructure continue to grow, demand for reliable engineering partners capable of delivering sustainable, technology-driven solutions is expected to increase.

JMG says it remains committed to supporting Nigeria's industrial development by delivering engineering solutions that create lasting value, improve business performance and contribute to a more resilient and sustainable economy.
