METRO: ‘I DON'T WANT ANOTHER TRAGEDY,’ FAMILY RAISES SAFETY CONCERNS AFTER TAIWO ABIDAKUN'S DEATH — BUKOLA AYENI-ANOTA

The elder sister of late Taiwo Abidakun, Mrs. Bukola Ayeni-Anota, has appealed for protection and safety for herself and members of her family following circumstances she believes contributed to her sister's death.

Speaking on the incident, Mrs. Ayeni-Anota explained that her late sister, Taiwo Abidakun, shared an extraordinary resemblance with her twin sister, Kehinde Loveth Abidakun, making it difficult for many people to distinguish between them.

According to her, the situation took a troubling turn after repeated visits and inquiries by individuals seeking information about Kehinde. She alleged that the persistent attention created fear and anxiety within the family, particularly for Taiwo, who was often mistaken for her twin sister.

Mrs. Ayeni-Anota stated that the pressure and emotional distress allegedly experienced by Taiwo eventually took a toll on her health. She said Taiwo was later rushed to a hospital, where medical personnel attended to her. Despite efforts to save her life, she passed away. Hospital records, she said, confirmed her admission and subsequent death.

The bereaved sister further claimed that, even after Taiwo's passing, concerns surrounding the family's safety have not subsided. She expressed worry about the continued uncertainty affecting the family and appealed to relevant authorities and humanitarian bodies to ensure their protection.

"I have already lost my sister," Mrs. Ayeni-Anota said. "My prayer is that no other member of this family will suffer the same fate. We only want to live in peace and safety."

She called for understanding, compassion, and a fair review of the circumstances surrounding the events that led to her sister's death, while urging that the family's concerns be taken seriously.

For the family, the loss of Taiwo Abidakun remains a painful reminder of how fear, uncertainty, and mistaken identity can have far-reaching consequences. As they continue to mourn, they say their greatest hope is for safety, justice, and peace.
