The Owa Obokun and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, has relocated to the newly built ultra-modern palace dedicated to the throne by Ijesa indigenes. He renovated the structure to make it a more suitable royal residence. His coronation took place on May 23, 2025.

The upgraded palace now combines modern elegance with traditional royal aesthetics, reflecting both the heritage of Ijesaland and the vision of the monarch. From spacious reception halls and regal sitting areas to tastefully decorated interiors, the residence stands as a symbol of cultural pride and collective honour from the Ijesa community.
