Across Nigeria today, progress is increasingly shaped by access to the digital tools that help citizens learn, earn, and thrive in a modern economy. Over the past year, CREDICORP has empowered thousands of Nigerians with essential assets—from mobility solutions that ease daily movement to renewable energy systems that keep homes and small businesses running. One outcome has been clear: when hardworking Nigerians are given fair access to responsible credit, their lives transform quickly.
Now, CREDICORP is taking that mission a step further.
The organisation has launched a national digital device credit program, designed to make smartphones, laptops, and other essential digital tools more affordable for working Nigerians. In today’s world, digital devices are no longer luxuries—they are gateways to opportunity. A smartphone can connect a graduate to job platforms, remote work, or financial services. A laptop can boost workplace efficiency for civil servants, entrepreneurs, students, and creatives. For traders, artisans, and small business owners, a simple device can be the key to reaching more customers and managing operations with ease.
This new nationwide rollout builds on a successful pilot phase, where CREDICORP, working through E-Finance Company and powered by Credlock’s device-collateral technology, enabled over 1,000 Nigerians to acquire smartphones through affordable credit—many of them first-time beneficiaries. The strong repayment results and enthusiastic adoption highlighted a nationwide demand and confirmed the need to scale.
With this new phase, CREDICORP is now targeting over 15,000 Nigerians, who will be able to access smartphones and laptops that enhance productivity, improve income opportunities, and deepen Nigeria’s digital inclusion.
To deliver this at scale, CREDICORP is partnering with E-Finance Company as one of its participating financial institutions, with Credlock providing intelligent device-collateral technology that ensures secure, responsible, and seamless credit access—without heavy upfront costs.
This program is part of CREDICORP’s broader mission of expanding consumer credit and improving quality of life nationwide. By widening access to digital tools, the organisation is helping build a more productive, connected, and future-ready Nigeria—one citizen at a time.
