ONDO @50: IDANRE LG CHAIRMAN FELICITATES AIYEDATIWA, CITIZENS


The Executive Chairman of Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo State, Hon. (Barr.) Smart Adeuyi Omotadowa, has congratulated the state government and citizens on the occasion of Ondo State’s 50th anniversary.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Omotadowa congratulated Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the people of Idanre, and residents across the state, describing the golden jubilee as a significant milestone that reflects five decades of resilience, growth, and cultural identity.

He said the anniversary provides an opportunity to celebrate the vision of the state’s founding fathers, honour past leaders, and acknowledge the contributions and sacrifices of citizens who have shaped Ondo State’s development over the years.

The council chairman commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for what he described as purposeful leadership and for outlining a comprehensive programme of activities to mark the celebration. According to him, the week-long events, as contained in the official programme, reflect a blend of reflection, intellectual engagement, wellness, gratitude, and the celebration of excellence.

Omotadowa noted that Idanre Local Government was proud to be part of the state’s journey and reaffirmed its commitment to contributing to the continued development, peace, and prosperity of Ondo State.

He expressed optimism that the coming decades would usher in greater achievements, inclusive development, and sustainable progress for the state.

Ondo State was created on February 3, 1976, and is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a series of commemorative activities.
