His Royal Majesty, Oba Sulaiman Adekunle Bamgbade, the Olofin of Isheri and Adimula of Awori Kingdom, has added another illustrious feather to his crown. Today, during the 2025 Annual General Meeting and Conference of the Nigerian Association of Technologists in Engineering (NATE), Oba Bamgbade was formally conferred with the prestigious Fellowship of the Association—a recognition reserved for individuals demonstrating exceptional leadership, technical excellence, and impact in engineering technology.
The conference, themed “Enhancing Professionalism in Engineering Technology with Compliance, Enforcement, and Remuneration for Sustainable National Growth”, convened top voices in engineering to deliberate on strengthening the profession’s standards and impact in Nigeria.
Oba Bamgbade, a Civil Engineering graduate with a Master’s in Systems Engineering, was celebrated for his dual leadership in both professional and traditional spheres, championing innovation, technical excellence, and community development. In his acceptance remarks, he highlighted the pivotal role of technologists in national growth, urging for stronger institutional support, ethical compliance, and fair remuneration to empower the engineering sector.
He commended NATE’s commitment to advancing engineering technology and pledged to support initiatives that promote innovation, sustainable growth, and professional development. The Fellowship award cements his legacy as a technologist, leader, and visionary, bridging tradition and modern technical expertise.
The NATE 2025 AGM continues with technical sessions, policy dialogues, and workshops designed to strengthen the role of technologists in Nigeria’s national development.
