For Mrs. Francesca Ogbonnaya, a fufu seller in Kano State, life took a remarkable turn from the busy corridors of the market to the comfort of newfound prosperity — all thanks to Fidelity Bank’s Get Alert in Millions (GAIM) Season 6 promo.
Until early 2024, Francesca was like any other hardworking trader. Born in Kano to parents from Delta State and married to an Ebonyi man, she has spent most of her life in the ancient city, making a living from selling fufu to restaurants and households.
“I started banking with Fidelity Bank sometime last year, around January or February 2024,” she told The Punch. “Before then, I wasn’t satisfied with my former bank. I had heard many good things about Fidelity Bank — about their customer service and reliability — and decided to switch. I can boldly say I have not been disappointed.”
Her account officer, she explained, became a trusted financial partner. “Whenever I call, he attends to me immediately. The staff are respectful and professional — that alone gave me confidence.”
But Francesca’s story would soon take an extraordinary turn. Without realizing it, her daily habit of saving — no matter how little — made her eligible for the Fidelity GAIM Season 6 draw.
“I didn’t even know there was a promo,” she confessed with a laugh. “Every day, I just made sure to deposit something, even if it was small. Then one day, I received a call that I had won ₦1 million! I thought it was unbelievable.”
At the time of the call, Francesca was unwell and resting. “I was lying on my sickbed when I got the call. I jumped up immediately and ran to my shop to tell everyone. Some people thought it was a scam, but I told them, ‘No, I trust my bank.’ When I visited the branch, everything became real.”
With guidance from Fidelity Bank’s team, Francesca decided to reinvest her winnings into her business. “I added the ₦1 million to my capital,” she explained. “Now, my business is bigger, and I’m seeing real improvement. The bank didn’t just give me the money — they advised me on how to use it wisely.”
For Francesca, the GAIM 6 experience is more than luck; it’s life-changing empowerment. “Fidelity Bank has proven to be a people’s bank,” she said. “I want to thank them for their support and kindness. I pray they continue the promo so more people like me can be lifted out of poverty.”
To other Nigerians, her message is simple: “Bank with Fidelity. Your money is safe — and it can even make you a millionaire. Look at me, a fufu seller — now a millionaire because of Fidelity Bank. This is real, not magic.”
Through initiatives like GAIM, Fidelity Bank continues to reinforce its commitment to financial inclusion and rewarding a culture of consistent saving — proving, once again, that even small daily deposits can lead to life-changing rewards.
