The 2027 re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu received a major boost on Sunday as the Forum of Political Office Holders in Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State unanimously pledged their loyalty to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and committed to delivering the state for Tinubu.
The meeting, which held at the Council Hall, Okeagbe-Akoko, was convened by the Commissioner for Water Resources, Public Sanitation, and Hygiene, Hon. Ayodele Akande, FCA, with the express approval of Governor Aiyedatiwa.
Over 50 political office holders, including commissioners, House of Assembly members, council chairmen, councillors, local council development area (LCDA) leaders, and special assistants attended the forum.
In his address, Hon. Akande reaffirmed Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State and condemned attempts by certain individuals to discredit the administration. He warned against cyberbullying, describing it as a criminal offense, and urged party members to unite behind the governor for greater dividends of democracy.
“With the Supreme Court victory behind us, Mr. Governor can now focus on making life easier for the people. Our ease is here,” Akande declared.
APC Chairman in Akoko North West, Hon. Kehinde Obanla, who also serves as Special Assistant on Mobilisation to the Governor, aligned with Akande, stressing that acts capable of causing crises within the party would no longer be tolerated.
Former Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bolarinwa Oluwasegunota, also backed the call for unity, advising party leaders to collaborate peacefully with the governor in the spirit of “Ijoba l’emi n se.”
Similarly, Hon. Olayode Jayeola, SA to the Governor on Mobilisation, emphasized the need for collective support to strengthen the Ondo For Tinubu (OFT) 2027 project, describing it as a key political assignment on Governor Aiyedatiwa’s desk.
In his closing remarks, Hon. Esan Owolabi, Executive Chairman of Akoko North West LG, thanked the governor for approving the forum and urged members to remain committed to the resolutions taken, noting that “Ondo for Tinubu has come to stay in Akoko North West.”

Alayode Jayeola, alongside council officials, vice chairman, secretaries, and councillors across the LGAs and LCDAs.
