In a transformative move for Nigeria’s creative and tourism sectors, the Ogun State Government, under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun, has announced a strategic partnership with Terra Kulture, led by its CEO, Bolanle Austen-Peters, to establish a world-class Film and Entertainment Village in the state.
Set to commence within the next 60 days, the ambitious project will celebrate cultural icons such as Fela Anikulapo Kuti and Professor Wole Soyinka, while providing thousands of job opportunities and positioning Ogun State as a top destination for tourism and creative excellence.

Governor Abiodun emphasized that this initiative is part of his administration’s broader vision to promote culture, heritage, and economic growth through sustainable development. “This is about more than entertainment—it's about telling our stories, preserving our history, and creating real opportunities for our youth,” he said.
In preparation for the National Sports Festival in May 2025—which will bring over 12,000 visitors to the state—the government is also investing in the restoration of major heritage landmarks. These include Olumo Rock, the home of Fela’s mother, the residence of the late Chief MKO Abiola, and the historic house where the Queen of England was once received.
Additionally, plans are underway to establish a Hall of Fame dedicated to the state’s heroes and trailblazers. According to Governor Abiodun, “This Hall of Fame will inspire future generations and serve as a living tribute to the legacies of our legends.”
The partnership with Terra Kulture marks a significant step toward realizing Ogun State’s ISEYA agenda, focused on infrastructure, social welfare, education, youth empowerment, and agriculture.
“This collaboration reflects our commitment to making Ogun State a beacon of creativity, learning, innovation, and prosperity not just in Nigeria, but across Africa,” the Governor added.
