HARMONY GARDENS, FG LAUNCH RENEWED HOPE ESTATE FOR NIGERIANS IN DIASPORA

In a landmark move aimed at boosting homeownership among Nigerians in the diaspora, top Lagos-based real estate firm Harmony Gardens & Estate Development Ltd has partnered with the Federal Government of Nigeria to deliver 1,000 modern duplexes in Lekki Aviation Town, strategically located directly opposite the proposed Lekki International Airport.

The project, a flagship under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, targets middle-income Nigerians abroad who seek to invest in high-quality, sustainable housing back home. It is being financed by the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), reinforcing the government’s commitment to inclusive development and diaspora engagement.

President Tinubu is expected to perform the official groundbreaking ceremony on May 29, 2025, symbolizing the administration’s resolve to turn policy into impact, especially in the housing and infrastructure sectors.

Speaking on the initiative, Chairman of Harmony Gardens, Mogaji Wole Arisekola, disclosed that a substantial ₦106 billion investment has been injected into the FGN-Harmony Partnership. He praised the project as a milestone in diaspora-focused housing delivery.

Also speaking, the company’s Executive Managing Director, Hon. (Dr.) Abdullahi Saheed Mosadoluwa, popularly known as The Lagos Landlord, unveiled the innovative Ibile Traditional Mortgage Scheme. The scheme offers both local and diaspora Nigerians the opportunity to access rent-to-own homes through a single-digit annual interest rate, with flexible repayment terms extending up to 20 years.

The Renewed Hope Estate promises cutting-edge infrastructure, eco-friendly green areas, premium finishing, robust security systems, and efficient drainage systems — setting a new benchmark for residential living in Lagos.

Beyond housing, the development is projected to generate over 5,000 direct and indirect jobs, significantly boosting the construction, real estate, and logistics industries.

Harmony Gardens is currently managing seven high-value estate projects, including GranVille Estate, The Parliament, Majestic Bay, Harmony Casa, and the flagship Lekki Aviation Town — collectively branded as the Seven Citadel of Joy.
