IJEBU STATE: IJEBU, REMO MONARCHS INAUGURATE IMPLEMENTATION COMMITTEES
In a significant step toward the realization of Ijebu State, the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, and the Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Adewale Ajayi, have inaugurated separate Implementation Committees to drive the constitutional approval process.
The committees, currently operating independently, will eventually be harmonized into a single body after submitting their respective reports. The move follows a December 19, 2024, Ijebu Stakeholders Meeting, where the collective aspiration of the Ijebu and Remo people for state creation was reaffirmed.
