... As Burial Arrangements Announced 

The family, friends, and associates of Hon. Temitayo Oluseye Oluwatuyi, the immediate past Secretary to the State Government (SSG), are preparing to bid him a final farewell as burial arrangements have been officially announced. Oluwatuyi, fondly known as Tuykana, passed away in active service on January 4, 2025. His burial rites are set to begin on Thursday, February 6, 2025, and will span four days, culminating in a family thanksgiving service on Sunday, February 9, 2025.

Hon. Temitayo Oluseye Oluwatuyi was a prominent political figure known for his dedication to public service. Until his passing, he played a pivotal role in governance and policy development, leaving a lasting impact on the administration. His sudden demise came as a shock to many, prompting an outpouring of tributes from political leaders, colleagues, and the people who described him as a visionary leader and a selfless public servant.

According to the funeral program released by the Oluwatuyi family of Akure, the ceremonies will commence with a Night of Tributes at Akure City Hall on Thursday, February 6. A Candlelight Procession will follow from Car Park at OSP, Adesida Road, to his residence at 3 Temidire Street, Okehlire, Akure.

On Friday, February 7, the corpse will be moved from the mortuary to the Akure South Local Government Secretariat for a Lying-in-State, allowing colleagues, political associates, and admirers to pay their last respects. Another lying-in-state will follow at Oyemekun Grammar School, Akure, his alma mater, before the procession makes a brief stop at the Family House in Okehlisa, Akure. The day will conclude with a Service of Songs at Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Arcade, Akure.

The final burial service is scheduled for Saturday, February 8, at his residence, followed by an interment at a private cemetery. The family will host a reception at The Dome, Igbatoro Road, Akure, where dignitaries and sympathizers will gather to celebrate his impactful life.

The upcoming burial ceremony is expected to draw notable figures from across Nigeria, including government officials, traditional rulers, and political associates. The state government has also expressed its condolences, acknowledging Oluwatuyi’s contributions to development.

As preparations intensify, the Oluwatuyi family has called on friends and well-wishers to join them in honoring the legacy of a man who dedicated his life to the service of the people.
