SOLUDO'S OPERATIONS UDO GA-ACHI YIELDS MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH AGAINST KIDNAPPING IN OBA

In a bold and startling move, the Anambra State government, under the leadership of Governor Chukwuma Soludo, has struck a major blow against crime with the demolition of a notorious kidnapper's den operating under the guise of a hotel. The property, known as Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites or “La Cruise Hotel,” was located along the busy Onitsha-Owerri Road.

Security operatives, as part of the Operation Udo Ga-Achi initiative, uncovered chilling evidence during the raid—a partitioned area on the hotel premises containing over 30 graves and a shrine. This discovery sent shockwaves through the community and underscored the criminal network’s brutal and covert activities.

Governor Soludo’s security initiative is proving to be a game-changer in addressing the alarming rise in violent crimes, particularly kidnappings, across the state. With the support of the recently enacted Homeland Security Law, Anambra’s security operatives are intensifying efforts to root out crime syndicates disguised as legitimate businesses.

Speaking on the operation, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security, Chief Ken Emeakayi, stated, “Illicit establishments often pose as legal enterprises, allowing criminals to operate undetected. By targeting these fronts, the government sends a strong message: no criminal activity will be tolerated in Anambra State.”

The evidence found at the demolished hotel revealed a grim reality. The graves and the shrine point to possible ritualistic practices and atrocities committed within the facility. This discovery raises concerns about the depth of organized crime networks operating in the region and highlights the need for constant vigilance.

While the operation has been praised by residents for exposing such a horrifying criminal hub, it has also evoked fear and concern over how such activities went unnoticed for so long. Many are now calling for greater community involvement in identifying and reporting suspicious establishments.

The demolition of the hotel is a testament to the effectiveness of Operation Udo Ga-Achi. Governor Soludo’s administration has made it clear that there will be no safe haven for criminals in Anambra State. The people of the state are optimistic that this marks the beginning of a new era of security and stability.

As more raids and revelations are anticipated, the partnership between the government and the community will be crucial in sustaining this momentum. With this proactive approach, peace and security in Anambra are on the horizon.
