It's no longer news that former RCCG City of David pastor, Idowu Iluyomade, has launched his own ministry, The Family Fellowship. Remarkably, within just two weeks of its establishment, the ministry has acquired a multi-million naira permanent site located at the prestigious Eko Atlantic.
The announcement was made by Pastor Iluyomade during the church’s second service at Civic Centre. He revealed that the prime property was donated by a generous member of the congregation, further solidifying the rapid growth of the newly formed ministry.
Using the occasion, Pastor Iluyomade encouraged Christians to embrace the spirit of giving, both to support others and to advance God’s work. He noted that many believers struggle with the principle of giving, which he described as an essential, sacrificial act that unlocks divine blessings.
In his sermon titled “Giving,” Pastor Iluyomade emphasized the importance of offering and tithing, stating, “Tithe belongs to God—10 percent of your income belongs to Him. Many people avoid reading Malachi 3, where God complains about being robbed in tithes and offerings.”
He further explained that ministry requires financial resources, which is why God commands believers to bring their tithes and offerings to His house. “Everyone should give according to how God has blessed them. Naturally, those who are prosperous should give more. We must give in proportion to our prosperity,” he added.
Pastor Iluyomade urged Christians to stay grounded in biblical teachings on giving, warning against misleading doctrines, and called for continued acts of generosity within the body of Christ. The Family Fellowship, with its newly secured site, is already proving to be a beacon of growth and impact in its early days.
