EKIMOGUN ASSOCIATION IN DMV REAFFIRMS STATEMENT: ROTIMI AKINKUGBE IS ON MAKINDE'S PAYROLL

Sequel to a rejoinder released by a group of Makinde loyalists and signed by one Rotimi Akinkugbe, a staff of Hon Makinde in the USA disclaiming our sincere position on the ongoing leadership accountability project in ondo city.

I, Funmi Akinyosoye, on behalf of the founding fathers of the Ekimogun Association, DMV USA am quick to set the record straight mainly in the interest of the Ondo people whose core attributes are that of industry, integrity, probity, and accountability that we stand by our position on probity and accountability of our elected leaders.

We are true and bonafide sonss of Ondo City and will never be found around shady enterprise ’’Ondo ma Keetigbo’. We will not stand with a leader who is not ready to render an account of stewardship.

Our earlier statement is unambiguous and has distinguished enough between our Association’s establishment principles and genuine motives and that of Hon Makinde’s co-travelers.

Our questions are;

1. What are Rotimi Akinkugbe and his other friends of Hon Makinde standing for?

2. Are they saying Hon Makinde should not be accountable as a public officer?

3. ⁠What is the total allocation accrued to the constituency since Hon Makinde assumed office?

4. How many constituency projects have been allocated to the constituency and what are the sources of funding and cost implications of these projects?

5. ⁠Can Hon Makinde enter into a partnership/conjunctive arrangement in a federal government project as an employer of the same Federal Government?

6. ⁠Is this how representative democracy works in the United States of America where Hon Makinde lived for many years?

7. ⁠Are Lawmakers not accountable to their constituents where Mr Rotimi Akinkugbe resides?

8. ⁠What is difficult in Hon Makinde making himself available for public scrutiny instead of procuring support groups/individuals?

We stand by our statement and position on the need for our elected leaders to render an account of stewardship, and in this case, we will ensure that Hon Makinde renders his account of stewardship to the Ondo people.
