A former Senator representing Edo North Senatorial district in the 9th National Assembly, Francis Alimikhena, is bereaved
Senator Francis Alimikhena, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), lost his beloved wife, Lady Mrs. Monica Alimikhena to the cold hands of death in the early hours of Thursday, August 31 after a brief illness at a UK Hospital.
The news was announced by His Excellency, Philip Shaibu, Edo state deputy governor via his official page.
He wrote:
“I am deeply saddened by the passing of the beloved wife of Senator Francis Alimikhena, Chief (Lady) Monica Alimikhena.
I offer my sincere condolences to you and your family during this difficult time. “I had the pleasure of knowing Lady Monica for many years, and I was always impressed by her kindness, grace, and intelligence.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
“I know that words cannot express the pain you are feeling right now, but I want you to know that you are not alone. I am here for you, and I will support you in any way I can. Please accept my deepest sympathy.”
Until her death, she was the Matron of the Edo Women Worldwide Association (EWWA).
