Adron Homes and Properties has inaugurated new executives of the Adron Homes Property Owners and Residents Associations (AHPORA) for the Uptown and Downtown zones of Treasure Park & Gardens Phase 2 Extension, Simawa, Ogun State, to strengthen engagement between the company and residents.
The inauguration, held on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Downtown Estate, provides a platform for property owners and residents to communicate their concerns, contribute ideas and work with the developer through elected representatives.
The ceremony had HRH Oba Peter Oluwole Ogunbayo (Otete III), the Odemo of Isara Remo, as the Royal Father of the Day.
In the Uptown Zone, Mrs Augustina Chuks was inaugurated as chairman, while Mrs Ogunba-Ojo Hutawa Aderonke emerged as secretary-general. Hon. Mrs Wale Fayemi and Mr Lateef Eniola were represented at the ceremony by their daughter and wife, respectively.
For the Downtown Zone, Alhaji Akeem Segun Koletowo was inaugurated as chairman, with Mr Alex O. Ohanwadi as secretary-general.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer of Adron Group, Sir Aare Adetola Emmanuelking KOF, described the inauguration as a new chapter in the development of the estate.
He noted that residents had transformed what was once unoccupied land into a thriving neighbourhood, stressing that the long-term success of an estate depended not only on the developer but also on the people who lived there.
“We are not simply inaugurating executives. We are acknowledging that Downtown Estate has reached another stage in its journey,” he said.
Emmanuelking charged the new executives to place residents’ interests at the centre of their responsibilities and promote constructive engagement, peaceful coexistence and accountability.
He urged them to be leaders who “listen without losing direction, speak without creating unnecessary conflict, and disagree without destroying relationships.”
According to him, an estate’s reputation, security, orderliness and relationships among residents are important assets that influence the value of property investments.
“The success of an estate cannot be manufactured from the developer’s office. There must also be ownership from the people who live here,” he added.
Also speaking, the Managing Director of Adron Homes, Adenike Ajobo, described the challenges encountered by the company in the course of its growth as part of the process of building a stronger organisation.
She called on homeowners, property investors and residents to unite under AHPORA to promote the collective development of their estate.
“The only thing we are clamouring for, agitating for, and campaigning for is for all of us to come together to grow our estate together through AHPORA,” she said.
The new executives are expected to serve as a link between residents and Adron Homes by communicating concerns, following up on estate-related issues and promoting accountability.
The event also recognised two homeowners who requested anonymity for their contributions to the security and upkeep of the estate. They donated a motorcycle and security equipment to support the movement and patrol activities of estate security personnel. They also supported the painting of the estate’s gate post and provided food supplies and additional security equipment for the security team.
Emmanuelking expressed hope that the new executives would leave a positive legacy, saying he wanted future leaders to be able to look back and say of them: “They left Downtown better than they met it.”
