The Publisher of Event Diary Lifestyle and founder of the Young Child in School Initiative, Princess Adeola Shittu, has celebrated Ismail Maryam Olaitan, founder of the Alwajud Agbomojo Care Foundation, on the occasion of her birthday, describing her as a woman of courage and an icon of compassion.
In a tribute marking the day, Shittu commended Maryam for her unwavering dedication to humanity, particularly her sustained efforts in supporting orphaned children and elderly persons in Ibadan.
She noted that Maryam has distinguished herself through selfless service, committing her time and resources to uplifting vulnerable groups at the grassroots.
“Maryam Ismail Olaitan is a woman of honour whose passion for humanity is both inspiring and impactful. She has made the care of the elderly and children in orphanages her cause, bringing hope and dignity to many,” Shittu stated.
According to her, the founder of the foundation has demonstrated strong leadership by mobilising support and driving meaningful change within communities.
She added that Maryam’s outreach programmes have continued to impact lives across Ibadan and the South-West, providing relief, care and renewed hope to those in need.
Reflecting on their encounter, Shittu noted that they met during an event organised by Space for Change in Lagos, where they connected through a shared passion for social impact and women supporting women. She described Maryam as an iconic figure whose contributions deserve recognition, especially at a time when selfless service remains vital to nation-building.
“As she celebrates her birthday, we honour her strength, kindness and unwavering commitment to humanity. Her life is a testament to purposeful service,” she added.
