The project, executed as a turnkey solution, combined power generation, HVAC systems and electrical infrastructure under a single coordinated framework, ensuring uninterrupted operations, enhanced indoor comfort and long-term operational stability for the supermarket.
Faced with increasing energy demands, cooling requirements and the need for a safe, reliable electrical backbone, Quick Buy Supermarket opted for JMG’s multi-disciplinary expertise rather than engaging multiple contractors. The decision ensured seamless execution, cost efficiency and a unified engineering approach.
At the heart of the project was the deployment of a robust power generation system by JMG Power, featuring two FG Wilson 550kVA generators and one FG Wilson P330kVA unit, fully synchronized with the national grid. The configuration guarantees uninterrupted power supply to support the supermarket’s 24-hour operations, including lighting, refrigeration, point-of-sale systems and other essential equipment.
Complementing the power solution, JMG Clima, the Group’s climate solutions division, delivered a comprehensive HVAC installation tailored for a high-traffic retail environment. The system includes Trane rooftop units, ducted systems, VRF technology, cassette units, standing air conditioners and 14 inverter split AC units, ensuring energy-efficient cooling across different operational zones.
The HVAC design also integrates extractor-based ducting and zoning controls, providing consistent airflow, improved indoor air quality and optimal temperature distribution throughout the supermarket. This reinforces JMG’s standing as a leading HVAC company in Nigeria serving large commercial facilities.
The project was completed by JMG Electra, which implemented a modern electrical installation designed to enhance safety, load stability and long-term performance. The upgraded electrical network now supports the power and cooling systems with reduced fluctuations and improved reliability, while allowing room for future expansion.
Speaking on the project, Nader Allam, Branch Manager, JMG Kano, said the installation demonstrates JMG’s unique ability to deliver multiple engineering solutions under one roof.
“Quick Buy’s project highlights what sets JMG apart—our capacity to combine power, cooling and electrical expertise into one complete, coordinated solution. It is a true turnkey installation that strengthens reliability and prepares the supermarket for long-term growth.”
With the upgrade now fully operational, Quick Buy Supermarket enjoys round-the-clock energy availability, efficient cooling, enhanced customer comfort and a safer electrical environment—all delivered by a single trusted engineering partner.
The project further strengthens JMG’s growing portfolio of large-scale commercial and industrial installations across Nigeria, underscoring its position as a trusted provider of diesel and gas generators, HVAC systems, solar power solutions, electrical engineering services, air compressors, elevators and escalators.
As JMG continues to execute complex, multi-division projects nationwide, the Quick Buy Supermarket installation stands as a strong example of how integrated engineering solutions can drive operational efficiency and sustainable business growth.
