... To Be Buried on 30th Dec
Popular Osun cleric and General Overseer of The Power of God Reigneth Evangelical and Prayer Ministry (Miracle Land City), Ijebu Jesa, Prophet Joseph Idowu Kekereekun, has lost his wife, Prophetess Deborah Comfort Kekereekun, who died after a brief illness at the age of 55.
She passed on December 18, 2025, a development described by her husband as “a difficult pill to swallow,” and by members of the ministry as a painful loss to the church community.
Speaking with Event Diary Lifestyle on the phone, Prophet Kekereekun said that although he had taken solace in God, the experience remained deeply painful.
“I know Mummy is in a better place, but her death came at a time we needed her most. We did everything possible — medically and spiritually — to save her life, but God loves her more,” he said.
He added that losing a spouse is “a deeply heartbreaking experience that words can hardly capture,” noting that her absence has created a vacuum that would be difficult to fill.
Event Diary Lifestyle gathered that her death came as a huge shock to family members, church leaders, and followers of the ministry, many of whom described her as a calm, humble, and spiritually devoted woman who stood firmly beside her husband in his divine calling.
Until her passing, Prophetess Deborah Comfort Kekereekun was regarded as a strong pillar in the ministry — a prayer warrior, counsellor, mentor to women, and a mother figure to many members of the church. She was known for her warm personality, compassionate heart, and deep commitment to the work of God.
Born on May 30, 1970, Prophetess Kekereekun was said to have played a key spiritual and administrative role in the ministry, where she was widely regarded as a counsellor, prayer partner, and support pillar to her husband’s calling.
Tributes have continued to pour in from members of the church and associates of the family, who described her as a humble, compassionate, and deeply spiritual woman.
The family has released details of the funeral programme. The two-day event begins with a wake-keep service on December 29, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at her residence, while the funeral service will hold on December 30, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at the Miracle Land City Headquarters, T.P.G.R.M., Eti Opo, Along Ilesa Road, Ijebu Jesa, Osun State.
The church leadership has invited friends, associates, and members of the Christian community to join the family in paying their final respects.
Though she is gone, her legacy of faith, prayer, and godly influence remains alive in the hearts of those she touched during her lifetime.
