The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), today hosted renowned Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Thespian Saheed Balogun, on a courtesy visit to his Ikeja House office.
During the meeting, the celebrated actor commended Chairman AKOD for his visionary leadership, people-focused initiatives, and unwavering commitment to youth development in Ikeja. He further praised the administration’s openness to collaboration, noting that the creative industry holds immense potential to positively engage youths and contribute significantly to the socio-economic growth of the community.
In his response, Chairman AKOD described Saheed Balogun as a cultural icon and worthy ambassador of the Nigerian movie industry. He reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to supporting initiatives that empower young people, nurture talent, and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Lagos State.
