The Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, has described Globacom as the pride of Nigeria, urging citizens to continue to support the company for its sustained success.
Oba Ladoja gave the commendation on Wednesday when the Enterprise Sales team of the telecommunications giant paid him a courtesy visit at his Bodija residence in Ibadan, Oyo State.
According to the monarch, but for Globacom’s intervention, Nigerians would have remained under the “oppressive billing system” of early telecom operators.
“Without Glo, Nigerians would still be paying per minute even if all they said was, ‘hello, how are you?’,” he said.
While praying for the continued health and prosperity of Globacom’s Chairman, Dr. Mike Adenuga Jr., the Olubadan-designate expressed optimism that the company would support his forthcoming coronation and future initiatives.
Speaking earlier, Globacom’s Head of Enterprise Sales, Mr. Adeniyi Odejobi, congratulated Oba Ladoja on his elevation and conveyed the warm regards of the company’s board and management.
“Globacom will support your office, and we will ensure that your telecommunications needs are fulfilled,” Odejobi assured.
Oba Ladoja is scheduled to receive his staff of office on Friday, September 26, 2025.
