The Ogun Central Chapter of the APC Door to Door Team, a frontline grassroots mobilization group within the All Progressives Congress, was inaugurated over the weekend in a colourful and well-attended ceremony that reflected unity, strength, and political resolve.
At the close of the event, the group announced three major endorsements ahead of the 2027 general elections: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) for Governor of Ogun State, and Governor Dapo Abiodun for the Ogun East Senatorial seat.
Convener of the team, Hon. Niyi Opeibi, a Senior Legislative Aide to the Senate President, said the group is fully committed to delivering massive support for the APC through its famed grassroots canvassing strategy.
“We are fully committed to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and will deliver 278,614 votes for his re-election in 2027. In the same spirit, we shall mobilize massively to ensure 86,093 votes for Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun’s senatorial bid and an overwhelming victory for Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi as the next Governor of Ogun State,” Opeibi declared.
He said Yayi’s endorsement was based on seven compelling reasons, including his record in infrastructure development, commerce and trade empowerment, healthcare delivery, educational support, grassroots accessibility, legislative experience, and capacity to consolidate on current achievements while charting new frontiers for progress.
The inauguration also featured the unveiling of the group’s new identity, as APC Door to Door Team officially rebranded to Door to Door Team Yayi, signaling a new phase of operation.
Explaining the group’s strategy, Hon. Fasola Olamide, Ogun East Senatorial District Coordinator and former Secretary to Odogbolu Local Government, said the projected vote pledges were carefully calculated across polling units in the state. “We will deliver them through aggressive door-to-door canvassing for which our team is known and respected,” he said.
The event drew several political leaders, including Alhaji Fasiu Ajadi, Hon. Olufemi Allen Tailor (former Ogun State lawmaker), Dr. (Mrs.) Adesola Sobule Okuseinde, and Alhaja Rianat Osisanwo, Deputy DG CACUS 7202.
The leaders commended the Door to Door Team for strengthening grassroots democracy and pledged their support to ensure total victory for APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
