TINUBU: ONDO WILL SURPASS PREVIOUS PERFORMANCE IN 2027 — INTERIOR MINISTER, TUNJI-OJO

The Honourable Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has expressed strong optimism that Ondo State will exceed its previous electoral performance in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the 2027 presidential election.

Hon. Tunji-Ojo made this assertion while addressing members of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) Continuity Project (PCP) at the group’s inaugural meeting held in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

The event, which took place at the PBAT Continuity Project office along Oyemekun Road, drew prominent APC leaders and stakeholders from all 18 local government areas of the state.

Highlighting Ondo State’s crucial role in President Tinubu’s 2023 victory in the South-West, the Minister assured that with collective unity and dedication, the state was poised to deliver an even greater mandate in 2027.

“In the last election, we delivered 67%, but this time, our goal is to far surpass that. This project — Asiwaju’s re-election — is our project. With the calibre of individuals in the PBAT Continuity Project, success is inevitable, so long as we work together in love and unity,” he said.

Hon. Tunji-Ojo reaffirmed his unwavering support for the group, emphasizing President Tinubu’s impactful policies in the South-West and the need to consolidate on the gains of the current administration.

Leaders Reaffirm Support for Tinubu’s Re-Election

Also speaking at the event, Hon. Isaacs Kekemeke, APC National Vice Chairman (South-West) and Chairman of NIPOST, described President Tinubu as a transformational leader who deserves a second term based on his performance and commitment to national development.

“This is a President from our region — and a performing one. It is only right that we rally behind him. The PBAT Continuity Project is a commendable initiative that will certainly strengthen the re-election movement,” he noted.

Former Ondo State Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Wale Akinterinwa, also endorsed the project, describing it as timely and necessary.

“This group comprises highly respected and committed individuals determined to ensure Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is re-elected in 2027. I’m proud to be a part of this,” he stated.

In his welcome remarks, the Director-General of the PBAT Continuity Project, Pastor Femi Agagu, said the group would activate its network down to the grassroots to mobilise broad-based support across Ondo State.

“We believe President Tinubu deserves a second term to consolidate on his remarkable achievements. The PBAT Continuity Project will expand its membership and structure for greater effectiveness,” he assured.

Women Mobilization and Stakeholder Contributions

In their goodwill messages, Mrs. Oladunni Odu, the first female Secretary to the State Government (SSG) in Ondo State, and Mrs. Tola Awoh, former Commissioner for Information, pledged to mobilise women across the state to join the movement and campaign vigorously for Tinubu’s re-election.

Other prominent voices at the event — including Hon. Mayowa Akinfolarin, Hon. Taye Akinyele, Mrs. Olukemi Iyantan, Dr. Olubunmi Osadahun, Barr. Sola Ajisafe, High Chief Ojo Alalabiaye, and Barr. Tobi Ogunleye — made valuable contributions, offering strategic suggestions to ensure the group’s success in the upcoming election.

The PBAT Continuity Project continues to gather momentum in Ondo State, positioning itself as a formidable grassroots mobilization platform for President Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
