EVENT: OLORI MODUPE KUDEHINBU’S 80TH BIRTHDAY SET TO LIGHT UP LAGOS IN GRAND STYLE

The city of Lagos is about to witness a celebration like no other as dignitaries, family, and well-wishers converge in Ikeja for the grand 80th birthday of Olori (Mrs.) Modupe Margaret Kudehinbu, fondly known as MMK.

Set to take place on Saturday, 26th July 2025, the day will feature a double celebration — a thanksgiving service and an elegant birthday reception — in honour of a woman whose life has been defined by grace, strength, and enduring impact.

The thanksgiving service will hold at The Cornerstone, Christ Embassy Church, 32 Olarewaju Street, Oregun Ikeja, starting at 10:00 am. It will be immediately followed by a birthday reception at High Point Event Centre and Suites, 5 Impressive Close, Off L.J. Dosunmu Street, CBD, Alausa Ikeja, from 1:00 pm.

Guests are expected to attend in White with Purple Headgear, a colour code reflecting the celebrant’s poise and royal lineage.

Olori Modupe Kudehinbu is the widow of Oba Richard Adubi-Ige Kudehinbu, the late Maporure of Agerige in Aheri Land, Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State. Widely respected for her strong entrepreneurial drive, she is a renowned timber magnate with a successful business career that spans over four decades in Lagos and southwest Nigeria.

The celebration is expected to draw an impressive lineup of guests from across the country, with the Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Lucky Aiyedatiwa, listed among the high-profile attendees. Also expected are traditional rulers, clergy, community leaders, captains of industry, and prominent members of the Kudehinbu royal dynasty.

According to Pastor Mojísọlá Ayánfẹhin and Deaconess Adetola Osaiyígbè, who are coordinating the RSVP, preparations are in full swing to ensure an unforgettable celebration.

Indeed, MMK@80 is more than just a birthday — it is a royal affair, a celebration of a towering legacy, and a joyous tribute to a woman who has touched countless lives through business, service, and grace.
