PERNOD RICARD NIGERIA DONATES BREATHALYSERS AND REFLECTIVE JACKETS TO FRSC

…Reinforcing Commitment to Road Safety and Responsible Drinking

As part of its unwavering commitment to promoting responsible drinking and safer roads, Pernod Ricard Nigeria, a global leader in the wines and spirits industry, has donated two high-precision breathalysers and 100 reflective safety jackets to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

The donation, presented at the FRSC Sector Command office in Ojodu, Lagos, reaffirms Pernod Ricard Nigeria’s long-standing support for the FRSC’s “Don’t Drink and Drive” campaign, which aims to reduce accidents caused by impaired driving.

Breathalysers, which measure a driver’s Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC), are vital tools in detecting intoxicated drivers and preventing potentially fatal road crashes. The reflective jackets will enhance officer visibility, particularly during night patrols and roadside emergencies, significantly improving their safety on duty.

Representing Michael Ehindero, Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Nigeria, Dr. Joshua Ademuwagun, Human Resources Director, highlighted the company’s core values of responsible consumption and community wellbeing.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Corps, FRSC Lagos Sector Commander, Corps Commander Kehinde G. Hamzat, expressed appreciation for the support and reaffirmed the agency’s dedication to collaboration in its pursuit of reducing road accidents.

“We thank Pernod Ricard Nigeria for this thoughtful contribution. It strengthens our capacity to enforce road safety regulations and encourages responsible behaviour among motorists,” Hamzat noted.

This initiative is aligned with Pernod Ricard’s global “Responsibility Hosting” platform, a key pillar of its Sustainability and Responsibility roadmap, aimed at promoting a more convivial world free from the harms of excessive alcohol use.
