Governor Charles Soludo has successfully completed the reconstruction of the Ugwunwasike Ogidi/Ogbunike Building Materials Market Road, a vital commercial hub in Anambra State.
In a statement by Ogechukwu Oyemesi, Director General of Solution in the Interland, he emphasized that the Ugwunwasike Ogidi/Ogbunike Building Materials Market is one of Nigeria’s largest building materials markets, attracting customers from within Anambra State and beyond.
A Long-Awaited Transformation
For years, traders and residents grappled with bad road conditions, including flooding, potholes, and heavy traffic, which caused significant delays and hardships. The deteriorating road network affected business operations, making navigation difficult, especially as the road serves as a key link between four major communities—Ogidi, Ogbunike, Abatete, and Nkpor—as well as the federal highway.
However, Governor Soludo’s intervention has completely transformed the road, enhancing accessibility and improving economic activities in the area.

Expressing gratitude, Donatus Onuoha, a trader in the market, praised the Governor’s leadership:
"Today, the road has been completely transformed into a smooth and durable network, improving traffic flow and reducing travel time significantly. Indeed, Governor Soludo is Mr. Solution, and we are very impressed with his performance so far."
He further noted that flooding is no longer a concern, allowing the market to operate at full capacity once again.
