GOVERNOR AIYEDATIWA DECLARES THREE DAYS OF MOURNING AND PRAYERS FOR LATE SSG, HON. OLUWATUYI

... Pledges Support During Family Condolence Visit

Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has described the late Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi, as a remarkable individual whose life positively influenced many.

The Governor made this statement during a condolence visit to the Oluwatuyi family in Akure on Sunday, accompanied by members of the State Executive Council.

Hon. Oluwatuyi passed away on Saturday while undergoing treatment after sustaining injuries in a car accident.

Governor Aiyedatiwa highlighted the late Oluwatuyi’s significant role in the politics and administration of Ondo State, emphasizing that his contributions to the state's development would be fondly remembered. He also expressed his condolences via a video call to the children of the deceased, who are residing abroad.

“Hon. Tayo Oluwatuyi was a true gentleman who carried out his duties with humility and integrity. His dedication to service and his influence on the state will always be cherished,” the Governor stated.

He assured the family of the government's unwavering support during this challenging time and led prayers for the repose of Oluwatuyi’s soul and the strength of his family.

In the condolence register, Governor Aiyedatiwa wrote:

"Hon. Tayo Oluwatuyi, you lived a meaningful life, fulfilling your duties and impacting lives. Although your departure came unexpectedly, we trust in God's divine timing. Rest peacefully in His bosom. Amen."

The Governor’s Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Pastor Ayoade Babalola, led a special prayer session for the family, the Akure community, and the state.

To honor the memory of Hon. Oluwatuyi, Governor Aiyedatiwa declared a three-day mourning period and prayer sessions from Sunday, January 5th, to Tuesday, January 7th, 2025.
