MEET THE NEWLY APPOINTED BOARD CHAIRMAN OF NIGERIAN BREWERIES PLC

... As Juliet Anammah Becomes the First Female Board Chairman 

Juliet Anammah has made history as the first female Board Chairman of Nigerian Breweries Plc. Her appointment, effective January 1, 2025, follows the end of Sijbe "Siep" Hiemstra’s tenure as the interim chairman, a position he has held since early 2024.

Anammah brings over 30 years of expertise across various sectors, including consulting, consumer goods, marketing, and sustainability. She joined Nigerian Breweries’ Board in January 2022 and previously chaired the company's Governance and Ethics Committee.

Before her appointment, Anammah was the Chair and Chief Group Sustainability Officer at Jumia Nigeria and had a notable career as the CEO of the company. She also served as the Managing Director at Accenture LLC, overseeing the firm's Consumer Goods, Retail, and Transportation practice in West Africa.

In addition to her extensive corporate experience, Anammah has been involved with various boards of both local and international organizations, including Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc.

Her appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Nigerian Breweries Plc, with the Board now including: Juliet Anammah (Chairman), H. Essaadi (Managing Director/Chief Executive), A.O. Aroyewun, Sijbe Hiemstra,S.Ojekwe-Onyejeli,Mrs. I.M. Omoigui Okauru, J.A.A. Overmars,R. Pirmez, I.A. Puri, B.A. Wessels Boer

Anammah's leadership is expected to further strengthen the company's governance and drive its growth and sustainability initiatives.
