Her Royal Majesty, Olori Atuwatse III, Queen Consort of the Warri Kingdom, has been awarded the esteemed Honorary Freedom of the City of London, an honor dating back to 1237 and granted to internationally celebrated figures such as Queen Elizabeth II, Winston Churchill, Nelson Mandela, and Stephen Hawking. With this distinction, Olori Atuwatse III becomes the first African Queen to receive the honor, symbolizing a milestone not only for the Warri Kingdom but also for West Africa.

For Olori Atuwatse III, who spent formative years in London, this recognition holds deep personal significance, reflecting a lifelong connection with the city and a commitment to fostering community bonds across cultures.
