The make-up artist, Abigael died alongside actor Junior Pope and some other crew members in April when their boat capsized in the River Niger near Asaba. They were en route to a film location.
Her body was retrieved from the water days after the tragic incident.

In a heartfelt move to honor her, Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno, during his condolence visit in April pledged to "renovate" her family's home and sponsor her siblings' education. Months after, Gov. Eno has fulfilled his promise to Abigail’s family, demonstrating compassion and dedication to those she left behind.

The Governor handed over a fully renovated and furnished 6-bedroom home to Abigail's family in Ikot Udoma, Eket. He also donated a business support grant of N1 million to the family and an additional N1 million as an educational grant to her siblings. This significant gesture provides not only a sense of security but also a permanent reminder of the late artist’s contributions to both her profession and her community.

In addition to the home, Governor Eno also provided business and education grants to the family, helping to secure their future and offer opportunities for personal growth and development. These initiatives reflect the governor’s commitment to supporting the family and ensuring that Abigail's memory continues to inspire those around her.

This act of kindness by Governor Eno not only fulfills a promise but also demonstrates the value of standing by one’s community in times of need.
