The late Chief of General Staff and military administrator of Ogun State, Lt Gen. Oladipo Diya, was given a colourful send-off in Ogun State yesterday at his hometown.
The burial activities for General Diya ended with the funeral service at the Cathedral Church of Saint Paul in the Odogbolu, Odogbolu Local Government Area (LGA) of Ogun State.
The Internment of late Lt. Gen. Oladipo Diya (rtd) was held at his residence, Tanimola Villa Odogbolu, Ogun State on Saturday, 29th July 2023.
The funeral was attended by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who was represented, the former head of state, General Abdulsalam Abubakar (rtd.), the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, and Acting Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun among others.
There was a massive outpouring of love for the wife, Mrs Josephine Diya and the family of the late former CGS who died on 26 March, at 78.
