The DPO of Ilupeju Division, SP Matilda Umiah Ngbaronye was a year old on Wednesday 24th May. To celebrate the day, family, friends, colleagues and well wishes gathered at the Ilupeju Division hall of the station to rejoice with her.

The Super Cop was ushered into the venue in the company of her husband, Mr. Ngbaronye, Hon Seyi Jakande, the Vice Chairman Odi-olowo/Ojuwoye, and friends.
The Executive Chairman, Odi-olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, Hon Rasaq Olusola Ajala in his remarks, applauded the celebrant, for her remarkable impact in curbing crime within the Ilupeju area, saying today residents of Ilupeju can go and sleep with their two eyes close.
He described the DPO, SP Matilda as a rare gem and a police officer with a different.
DPO, SP Matilda in her word of appreciation, appreciates her husband for his support and her team who had been working tirelessly in other for her to succeed in her role as the DPO of the Ilupeju Division.
She said I have the best team when it comes to fighting crime and this is one of the reasons I love to celebrate my birthday with them yearly. SP Matilda Umiah Ngbaronye was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force on April 19, 2010.
“Before she was appointed the DPPRO, she was the Crime Officer, Dolphin Estate Division, Ikoyi, General Investigation /Fingerprint Expert at the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCIID Panti, the Officer-in-Charge, Public Complainants Bureau, (PCB), after which she was deployed to African Union Mission in Somalia AMISOM where she made the country proud and excelled as the Public Information Officer (PIO).
“SP Matilda Umiah Ngbaronye, a good image manager, has attended the Advanced Detective Course, (ADC), Human Rights Protection Course and many others courses both within and outside Nigeria,” the statement noted.
