The NACCIMA Business Women Group (NAWORG), in conjunction with the Akure Chamber of Commerce (Naworg/ ACCIMA), paid a visit to the Ondo state Correctional home for the Juvenile on Wednesday,11th January 2023 as part of their community social responsibility (CSR) and in line with their resolve to give back to society.
The ACCIMA President, Engr. Emmanuel Adewumi who led the groups, in his remarks, applauded the government and staff of the home for keeping the home running and functional. He said further that there can still be room for improvement, especially in the area of the welfare of the children to make the place more conducive for them. He further admonished the children to learn from their mistakes and their experiences in the home which are all geared towards preparing them for the future. He urged them to see themselves as future leaders in society.

Also, Mrs Funmi Ade-Ojo, the National Vice President of NAWORG called for more partnerships from the corporate bodies and individuals who are well-to-do in the society in the areas of funding and material gifts to the centre, this will give them a sense of belonging, keep their hope alive and help in building and reshaping their future even while at the home.
The Akure City Coordinator of NAWORG, Princess Kafilat Adeola Shittu called for more involvement of corporate bodies and individuals in partnering with the government to see that the juvenile home is up and running through funding and other material supports. Saying the Government alone can not do it, rather we should all strive to give back to society.
She further showed the commitment and love of the groups, that they will be offering voluntary training on Makeup and other Vocational trainings as part of the year 2023 International Women's Day celebrations. She, therefore, seeks the cooperation and support of the home in achieving this.
A member of ACCIMA, and a legal practitioner, Barr Kehinde Ige, who was also part of the visiting team, used the opportunity to educate the children, particularly on matters of law as it relates to societal behaviours, telling them that there is a future for them, but they need to learn from their mistakes and what brought them to the correctional home and take very bold steps to be of good behaviours.
In response, Mr Olabode Jesutola the Warden in charge of the home appreciated the groups for their kind gestures and the love they have shown to his people. He said the home is ready for partnership in the interest of the children of the home because they want them to be the better version of themselves whenever they leave the home. Some items which included Food Items, toiletries, clothings and other items were presented to the centre by Naworg/Accima at the event.
The groups were led by; Engr. Adewumi CEO of Denki Wire and Cables, President of ACCIMA, Mrs Funmi Ade-Ojo the National Vice President of NAWORG, Sir Rufus Falona the Deputy President Admin, Barr Kehinde Ige, Mr Omoniyi Aremo, DG ACCIMA, Mrs Julient Olatunde, Mrs Abayomi-Das Oyindamola and Mrs Oladunni.
