In a statement by his spokesperson, Prince Segun Adeá¹£emoye, it is a way to show gratitude for the honour of being the youngest chairman of the Ekimogun Day since its inception and to demonstrate his love for the people and his commitment to the development of the kingdom.
He further revealed that the fund will be used to purchase and distribute not less than 50 transformers to communities that are in dire need of electricity, upgrade the Ondo civic centre to a first-class event centre for the use of the people, purchase medical supplies and upgrade of the Trauma centre at the University of Medical Sciences in Ondo.
According to Dr Awosika, "it is evident that the Ondo Civic Center needs rehabilitation and upgrade to make it more beautiful and befitting for the community. It had also been discovered that many communities have been in darkness for many years because the transformer serving the area has either spoilt or stolen and my interest in the health sector will be served with the intervention in the Trauma centre" This intervention will be concentrated in these critical areas".
Dr Tola Awosika appreciated the Osemawe and paramount ruler of Ondo Kingdom, Oba Dr. Victor Adesimbo kiladejo and the good people of Ondo kingdom for their support and contributions to the success of the Ekimogun Day 2022.
The flag-off of the projects will be announced soon.
