As part of activities to mark the 2021 press week, members of the Nigerian union of journalist nuj ondo state council on Sunday converged on the salvation gospel international center akure to thank God for a fruitful year.
Speaking on the topic” mystery of Thanksgiving” the senior pastor of the church Pastor Michael Ajibobola emphasized that it was a good thing to give thanks to God as commanded in the holy books.
Pastor Ajibobola stressed that it was unfortunate that people no longer ascribe thanks to God but to frivolous things while subjecting thanks to public show.
He commended members of NUJ for putting God first in the activities of the union and urged Christians to cultivate the habit of giving thanks to God always.
Chairman NUJ ondo state council, comrade Adetona Aderoboye in his own words said despite the challenges of the year the union had been able to make remarkable progress.
Comrade Aderoboye noted that the union was proud to associate with good things happening in ondo state.
The chairman informed that despite losing a member ,late Mr Bunmi Afeye to the bullets of men of the underworld, the union is thanking God for the gift of life and protection during the year.
