Akogun Stephen Ojo, Yem-Kem Boss Become Member of Up Asso Club

 

All road leads to Maryland, Lagos State on Sunday 14th, November, 2021 as the Association of Friends popularly called Up Asso Club held its annual Presidential gala night and inducted new members. The venue of the event was the Association’s Hall located at the Maryland axis of the metropolitan. 

The highlight of the program was the formal inauguration of the new President of the club, Dr Adetokunbo Adedeji and members of his executive as they took the oath of office while 12 new members were also admitted to the club on the same day. The newly inducted members include Akogun Stephen Abiodun Ojo, a financial guru, Chief Akintunde Ayeni, Chief Yem-Kem International, and Hon Gbenga among others.

The Presidential Night is an annual event hosted by the Association of Friends. It is usually a well-attended event with the King of World Beats, Chief Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye (a.k.a, King Sunny Ade) on the bandstand. Parton of the club, a prominent business mogul, Dr Kesington Adebukola Adebutu led an array of dignitaries from across the country and beyond to the annual event. While Businessman, Alhaji Tajudeen Owoyemi chaired the event.

Akogun Stephen Abiodun Ojo one of the newly inducted members of Up Asso said, it's a day of joy for me to be part of this great family, am a member of other clubs in and outside Lagos but I will say no club like Up Asso.

“Up Asso” came out of the vision of some young men with eight of them deciding in 1978 to concretise their fledging relationship and dominance of social space into a sustainable institution that will outlive them but with their legacy remaining intact for the sake of humanity.
