.............FACES AT THE OPENING OF ADABA FM GAME VILLAGE

The General Manager, Adaba 88.9 FM, Sir Martin's Ayoola, on Friday 26th March, 2021, hosted prominent personalities and journalists, as Adaba FM Game Village was commissioned.

The state of the art game village, located within the station's premises in Ilara-Mokin, Ifedore Local Government area of Ondo State, has over ten different games including Table Tennis, Snookers, Ayo Olopon, Scrabble, Chess among others.

Prior to the official commissioning, the GM had earlier led a fitness walk with members of staff of the radio station.

The Game Village was commissioned by the Chairman, State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Adetona Aderoboye.

In a chat with Event Diary lifestyle News, the General Manager of the Station, Sir Martins Ayooola said, "what we have done here today is in line with the vision of TVC Communications management policy and we have only replicated what is at our head office here, so as to make work easy for my staffs.

Since I became the GM of this station over a decade, I have always place the welfare of my staffs as my number 1 priority and their comfort gives me joy.

On how he was able to raise fund for the project despite the economic situation of the country, he said, "everything had to do with planning, we had plan and all we did was to execute it. One of our challenges was a relaxation center for our staffs that work late or arrived the station hours before their programs, nowhere to relax expect they drive back to town, this and many other factors led to the Games Village and like I said we had a plan, we work towards it and here we are today. We are always above others. This games centre with over ten games will enable our staff to relax and enhance their productivity."
Also speaking at the event, Chairman, State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Adetona Aderoboye, commended the management of Adaba FM for putting in place a standard games centre for its staffers.

Aderoboye noted that Adaba FM remains one of the best stations in the country because of its qualitative programmes and rich news content.

His words, ‘I want to commend the General Manager of Adaba FM, Sir Martins Ayooola, for the laudable project. The games centre will no doubt enhance their productivity.

‘Apart from churning out good programmes, the station has demonstrated that it is committed to workers’ welfare’

The event was attended by the chairman, Ondo state House of Assembly Committee on Information, Youth and Sport Development, Hon Gbenga Omole, Chairman NAWOJ, Mrs. Doris Orauno- Olumoko and the lawmaker representing Ese- Odo State constituency, Hon Favour Tomomewo among others.
