OSAMAYE DONATES 11 PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEMS, ₦1M TO IFEDORE COUNCIL AHEAD OF 2027 ELECTIONS

Ondo State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Dr Seun Osamaye, has donated 11 public address systems and ₦1 million to Ifedore Local Government Area to support grassroots communication and political mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Osamaye announced the donation during a meeting with the council chairman, ward chairmen and secretaries in Ifedore, where discussions centred on political coordination, community engagement and preparations for the forthcoming elections.

The commissioner said the equipment would support information dissemination and communication across the wards, particularly during political meetings, community gatherings and other grassroots activities.

Describing herself as Ifedore's representative in the Ondo State Executive Council, Osamaye said she remained committed to ensuring that the local government was adequately represented in the state's political and developmental activities.

She also appreciated Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his wife, Mrs Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa, for the opportunity to serve in the state cabinet, urging political leaders and residents of Ifedore to support the governor's administration.

Osamaye called for unity and stronger cooperation among party leaders and grassroots stakeholders, stressing the importance of effective communication between political leadership and residents.

She urged the ward chairmen and secretaries to sustain engagement within their communities and mobilise support for the party's candidates, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election bid in 2027.

The commissioner also expressed confidence that the developmental programmes and policies of the Aiyedatiwa administration would strengthen the party's support base and contribute to its electoral prospects.

Responding, Ifedore Local Government Chairman, Hon. Prince Tunde Adegbonmire, commended Osamaye for what he described as her commitment to the development and political representation of the council.

Adegbonmire said her service in the Aiyedatiwa administration had brought recognition to Ifedore, while acknowledging her efforts to maintain relationships with political stakeholders and create opportunities for grassroots leaders to engage with the state government.

He thanked the commissioner for the public address systems and financial support, describing the donation as an intervention that would assist the council and its wards in carrying out their activities.

The council chairman assured her of the local government's continued cooperation with the governor's political structure and said ward leaders would work with relevant stakeholders to strengthen mobilisation and participation ahead of the 2027 presidential, state and National Assembly elections.

The ward chairmen also pledged to sustain collaboration with the commissioner, emphasising the need for unity, communication and continued engagement as preparations for the elections gather momentum.
