Access Holdings Plc is set to make a case for stronger African financial institutions and increased capital mobilisation at the Africa Financial Summit (AFIS) 2026, scheduled for November 3 and 4 in Luanda, Angola.
The Group, which will participate as a Diamond Sponsor alongside its flagship subsidiary, Access Bank Plc, said it would use the summit to advance discussions on mobilising capital for productive investment, strengthening regional trade and expanding access to financial services across Africa.
Access Holdings Chairman, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, will lead the Group’s delegation, which includes Access Bank Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Roosevelt Ogbonna, and Executive Director, African Subsidiaries, Seyi Kumapayi.
According to the Group, its participation will focus on how financial institutions can translate their scale and pan-African reach into measurable economic value for businesses, households and communities.
Having built a presence across several African markets through Access Bank, Access Holdings said it was increasingly focused on connecting markets, supporting enterprise, facilitating regional commerce and extending financial services to underserved businesses and households.
The Group described this approach as its “Scale-to-Value” orientation, which seeks to match institutional expansion with stronger economic relevance and sustainable stakeholder impact.
At the summit, Access Holdings is expected to contribute perspectives on mobilising domestic capital, improving regional trade and payments integration, broadening financial inclusion and deploying digital platforms to extend financial services.
Commenting on the Bank’s participation, Ogbonna said businesses needed financing that could move across borders in line with their ambitions.
“At AFIS 2026, we will show how Access Bank is turning its pan-African scale into real value by connecting markets, supporting enterprise and widening access to financial services,” he said.
The Group also called for stronger collaboration among financial institutions, governments, regulators, investors and private sector players, noting that Africa’s financing needs require cooperation across national and sectoral boundaries.
Co-hosted by the International Finance Corporation and Jeune Afrique Media Group, AFIS 2026 is expected to bring together more than 1,250 African and international financial leaders and regulators.
The summit, themed “Making Capital Count: Unlocking Growth Through African Finance”, will examine ways to mobilise private investment, direct financing towards the real economy, convert African savings into local investment and deepen regional integration.
Through its participation, Access Holdings said it would contribute to conversations on how financial institutions can support productive investment and help connect African markets.
