BIC Nigeria has received two major honours at the 2026 Edge Awards, with the company recognised for its decade-long brand legacy and the continued relevance of its shaving razor business in Nigeria.
The company won the Edge Outstanding Legacy Brand Award of the Decade (Corporate) and the Edge Outstanding Legacy Brand Award (Shaving Razor) at the 14th edition of the Edge Awards, organised by Marketing Edge.
The awards were presented on September 25, 2026, in Lagos, bringing together brands, corporate executives and professionals across the marketing and communications industry.
For BIC Nigeria, the recognition highlights the company’s sustained presence in Nigeria’s fast-moving consumer goods market and the continued place of its shaving razor products among consumers.
Anthony Amahwe, General Manager, BIC Nigeria, said the awards reflected the trust consumers and partners have placed in the company over the years.
“We are proud of these awards and thankful to Marketing Edge,” Amahwe said, adding that a lasting brand legacy is built through the confidence consumers place in products “day after day.”
He said the recognition also acknowledged the efforts of BIC’s teams and partners, as well as the loyalty of consumers who have incorporated the brand into their everyday lives.
The 2026 Edge Awards, themed “Celebrating Excellence Beyond Borders,” recognised achievements in creativity, innovation and strategic leadership across the marketing and business landscape.
The double recognition comes as BIC continues to position its portfolio around everyday consumer needs, with products spanning stationery, lighters and shaving.
Globally, BIC has operated for 80 years and has a presence in more than 160 countries, with a portfolio that includes stationery and writing products, shaving products and lighters.
For BIC Nigeria, the latest honours add to the company’s brand recognition while reinforcing its stated focus on maintaining products that are accessible, reliable and relevant to changing consumer needs.
