The Golden Grand Patron of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) National, Aare Adetola Emmanuelking, KOF, has hosted the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Olubode Ojajuni, alongside traditional rulers, security agencies, community leaders and other stakeholders at a security summit in Remoland, Ogun State.
The summit, held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, provided an interactive platform for stakeholders to examine emerging security challenges and explore ways of strengthening collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force and communities across the state.
Speaking at the event, Aare Emmanuelking described security as a shared responsibility and called for stronger partnerships between citizens and law enforcement agencies to tackle emerging threats, including kidnapping, cultism, ritual killings, illegal arms trafficking and cybercrime.
According to him, “Security is far too important to be left to the Police alone. Every citizen has a role to play in safeguarding our communities. This is the vision upon which the PCRC was founded.”
He also highlighted the PCRC's slogan, “PCRC... Peace to the Nation,” as a call for collective action, urging citizens and security stakeholders to embrace intelligence sharing, community policing and mutual trust as essential tools for building safer communities.
The PCRC National Golden Patron commended the Inspector-General of Police for promoting community policing initiatives across the country and praised CP Ojajuni for his professionalism and commitment to engaging directly with community stakeholders.
The summit featured extensive discussions involving traditional rulers, community leaders and security professionals, with participants examining intelligence gathering, crime prevention strategies, emerging security concerns and ways of improving public confidence in law enforcement.
Participants reaffirmed the importance of sustained cooperation among the Police, PCRC, traditional institutions, other security agencies and members of the public in tackling crime and preserving peace across Ogun State and Nigeria.
The summit ended with a renewed commitment by stakeholders to strengthen intelligence gathering, deepen community policing and promote safer communities across Remoland, Ogun State and the country.
